Meru's team can build virtually anything around a customer's name and business plan, but lacks the skills to create an instantly recognizable brand. We worked with them on what kind of identity would resonate most strongly with their target audience. Our ideas were based on their vision for the company and how they wanted to position themselves in the marketplace. We wanted to create a brand that was bold and strong, yet inviting and friendly. This is reflected in our logo design which uses a serif font with rounded corners as well as an image of Mount Meru and its surrounding peaks.
The new brand strategy, identity and positioning were informed by market research including community and stakeholder interviews. They then translated across the platform everywhere.
Since this was a new venture, we had a clean slate. The MERU team was amazing. Focused and gave solid feedback. This made it great for me to get them exactly what they wanted. The goal was to help them bring their vision to life. I designed a new brand and clean visuals for the landing page. I'm looking forward to phase two with the team!
